Myanmar is one of the most photogenic countries in Asia. Here are the places we return to again and again — with free photos you can use from each.

1. Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon

Come one hour before sunset, walk clockwise around the platform and wait for the lights to come on. The gold glows for about twenty minutes after the sun goes down.

2. Bagan at sunrise

Over 2,000 temples across the plain. From October to March, hot air balloons fly at sunrise.

3. Inle Lake

The leg-rowing Intha fishermen are the classic shot. Hire a boat before 6am for soft light and calm water.
